Past Presidents

The Past Presidents Club consists of all former MIX Presidents who remain active in the organization.  The Club provides guidance and insight to the current officers with regards to the decisions and activities of the organization. The Club also is responsible for developing a slate of nominees for each office and submitting its nominations at the annual meeting prior to the election.

Otto Doll
Chief Information Officer 
City of Minneapolis
MIX President 2016-2017

 Otto Doll is an accomplished Information Technology executive with over 40 years of experience in the public and private sectors. He was appointed the City of Minneapolis Chief Information Officer (CIO) in February 2011, responsible for all IT operations. Formally South Dakota's CIO for 15 years with responsibility for all state government computing, telecommunications, state radio and public broadcasting. Otto also served as a Director with the United States General Services Administration, developing information technology strategic plans and oversight policy. 

In private industry, he has advised Fortune 1000, Federal, State, and Local Government CIOs on information technology assessment and alignment to business needs.  
  
Otto received his Bachelors in Computer Science from Virginia Tech and graduated from the Senior Executive Fellows program of the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.  

He is a past President of NASCIO - a national organization of state CIOs. Mr. Doll was named to Government Technology's Top 25 Doers, Dreamers and Drivers.

Brad Hartig
Chief Information Officer
City of Scottsdale, AZ
MIX President 2015-2016

During Brad's 25 year tenure at Scottsdale, he has led the City through continuous business transformation through the effective use of technology. Brad is currently the vice chair of a Regional Wireless Cooperative that provides radio communications to 20 Public Safety agencies in the Valley as well as chair of a governance working group tasked with bringing the Valleys two existing cooperative under one common governance structure.

Brad holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Northern Arizona University with a dual major in Information Technology and Marketing. He is also a graduate of Arizona State University’s Institute for Public Executives, the Linkage, Inc. Global Institute International program for executive development and a graduate of XII Scottsdale Leadership, Inc., a community leadership program created in 1987 to develop individuals to engage in the future of Scottsdale.

Brad joined the City of Scottsdale in May 1991 as a Strategic Planning and Support Manager in Information Technology. He held several IT positions prior to being appointed to Executive Director and Chief Information Officer in 2004. Upon receiving his promotion his first major assignment was to lead an 18-month transition of systems and technology from a privately owned and operated fire services to a municipally run Fire Department.

Brad was inducted into Public Technology Institute 2013 class of fellows for his leadership in Public Sector Technology.  He was also a Board member for the Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic, Arizona Unit from 1998 to 2010, a not-for-profit organization which provides an educational library for individuals with learning and print disabilities and has since been recognized as an honorary board member.

Prior to joining Scottsdale Brad worked for Sperry Corporation (later Unisys) were he was responsible for both pre and post-sales support activities.)

Peter Wallace
Chief Information Officer

Peter Wallace is an accomplish Information Technology executive with over 30 years of related experience in the public and private sectors. As CIO at the City of Chesapeake, Peter provides executive leadership for the overall technology direction of the city in support of the business goals and acts as a technology aggregator for the enterprise delivery and support of data analytics and customer facing applications. 


The City of Chesapeake received the 2009 Local Government Green IT Award for its innovation with virtual server implementation by reducing the foot print of the data center and recognizing savings of 35% in electricity cost. The City was also recognized by IBM with the Smart City Award in 2011 by deploying effective technology, and finished in the top ten digital cities and innovation awards in 2010, 2011, and 2012.  These technology milestones and innovations are accomplished by building an effective technology team focused on finding new ways to address the business needs of customers while minimizing cost and maximizing results.
 
Prior to his assignment at the City of Chesapeake, Peter was the CIO at the City of Boynton Beach Florida. Under Peter’s leadership, the City of Boynton Beach implemented an enterprise GIS system, which resulted in being awarded 1st place for Innovation in Communication and Technology from the Florida City and County Management Association (FCCMA) in 2003. 

In the private sector, Peter held several senior technology positions at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Merrill Lynch, and IBM. 
 
Peter received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University, and a Computer Science degree from LaGuardia College. Peter also received accreditation as a Certified Chief Information Officer (CCIO) from the Florida Institute of Government at Florida State University and attained the Project Management Professional certification from Florida International University. Peter would like to eventually pursue a doctoral degree in Strategic Leadership. 
 
Peter is active in the local community and serves as the current President of the Sister Cities of Chesapeake Committee and a board member of the Chesapeake Technology Business Consortium (CTBC)

Steve Monaghan
Chief Information Officer
Nevada City, CA 95959

As Chief Information Officer (CIO), Steve is responsible to plan, organize, and direct the County's overall information technology efforts. In addition, Steve has the responsibility for the County Public Library System, Airport, and the General Services Department which includes the facility management, office of emergency services, and purchasing divisions.

Steve is active in the community leveraging County assets and resources to assist community
partners and other local governments.  Steve came to Nevada County in April 1999 from his
previous position as a principle in a corporate technical services and consulting firm. In the private
sector, Steve worked with a broad cross section of industries from banks and high-tech
companies to health care providers, schools, and non-profits.
 
Government Technology Magazine awarded him their “Top 25 Doers, Dreamers, and Drivers of
Technology in Government Award” and he was awarded CCISDA’s first “Visionary Award for
Information Technology Leadership” in 2003. Nevada County has received multiple awards for the
innovative use of technology under his leadership.

Steve serves as President on the Board of Child Advocates of Nevada County, a local nonprofit that delivers critical children community services. He also co-chairs the Nevada County Broadband Advisory Council.

    Bill Greeves

Bill serves as the Chief Information Officer of Wake County, North Carolina.

  Prior to joining Wake County, Bill served as Director of Communications & Information Technology for Roanoke County, Virginia and Director of Information Technology at the City of Hampton, Virginia. Before arriving at City of Hampton, Bill served as IT Division Manager/Public Info Coordinator at City of Virginia Beach.

At present, Bill serves as a member of the North Carolina Local Government Information Systems Association (NCLGISA).  Bill attended Old Dominion University and studied English and earned a Masters degree.   Bill's core expertise includes just trying to keep up AND be innovative at the same time (NOTE: this expertise is a work in progress).

Laura Fucci

Laura is the Chief Information Officer for the City of Henderson , Nevada. Before that, Laura was the CIO of Clark County NV. In this capacity, Laura had the pleasure of serving the technology needs to over 40 diverse local government departments and agencies including health and human services, justice and public safety, development and environmental management and internal solutions. 


Prior to joining Clark County, Laura worked for eleven years at MGM MIRAGE in a variety of roles, including VP and CTO for MGM MIRAGE.  She was responsible for infrastructure strategy and design at MGM MIRAGE and led various engineering efforts for two property openings, and assisted with two large mergers and acquisitions.  She also acted as the VP of Technology for CityCenter, the largest private development in the country at the time.


Among her many professional accomplishments, Laura is most proud in participating in the launch of the Las Vegas chapter of WITI (Women in Technology International), whose mission is to empower women worldwide to achieve unimagined possibilities and transformations through technology, leadership and economic prosperity.  Laura earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science at Oregon State University and is a native to Henderson, Nevada.

Vicki Irey
Chief Information Officer

Overland Park
MIX President 2010-2011

Vicki Irey is the Chief Information Officer for the City of Overland Park.  Overland Park is the second largest city in the State of Kansas.  Vicki has responsibility for the technology needs of all ten departments, including public safety and has responsibility for Facilities.  Overland Park’s Information Technology department hosts the Intergraph public safety application for Johnson County and the 22 cities inside the county.  Vicki has worked for Overland Park’s Information Technology Department 33 years.

Vicki is a member of many professional organizations such as KC CIO Exchange, PTI (Public Technology Institute), RITMA (Regional Information Technology Managers Association), and Leadership Overland Park.  Vicki sits on the advisory board for the Computer Science Program for Johnson County Community College.

Vicki is a recipient of the Business Advisor of the Year for INROADS and has been a featured speaker for area conferences and seminars on topics such as, Social Media for Government, Cloud Computing, The Greening of IT and IT & E Discovery.
